Japanese Mewtwo VSTAR 221/172 is the Special Art Rare from S12a VSTAR Universe, released 2 December 2022. The full-art sheet shows Mewtwo in a clash with Charizard, which is why this SAR was treated as a set-defining pull on day one.

GOSSAN’s illustration has Mewtwo firing a psychic strike while Charizard sits in the background. As a VSTAR Power card it lists Psy Purge and Star Raid, the latter dealing 120 to each of the opponent’s Pokémon V.
