About

About CardZ Marketcap, the graded card market index

CardZ Marketcap is a daily market capitalisation index for graded trading cards, ranking Pokémon and One Piece cards by verified PSA 10 population multiplied by PSA 10 reference price. The published snapshot is effective 2026-10-13.

It exists because the hobby had plenty of price trackers and no supply-aware ranking. Knowing a card sold for $2,000 tells you nothing about whether two hundred or two hundred thousand copies exist at that grade.

CardZ Marketcap is a trading card price index. It is not a cryptocurrency, not a token, and not a listed company. There is no CardZ ticker, and this site is unrelated to the crypto asset traded as CARDS.

What we publish

A daily ranking of graded Pokémon and One Piece printings by PSA 10 market cap, with the price, population and market cap shown for each row.

A page for every ranked printing, showing its inputs and how they have moved.

A written methodology, a glossary of the terms used, and a machine-readable API so the same figures can be checked rather than taken on trust.

Editorial standards

Every published number is computed from a dated snapshot. We do not hand-adjust rankings, and no card can be promoted by paying for it.

Missing values stay missing. If a price or population cannot be verified, the card shows a status instead of a number; we never substitute zero, and we never borrow a price from a different printing.

Limitations are published alongside the method rather than buried. The methodology page lists the known weaknesses of a population-based index, including reporting lag and resubmission double-counting.

Corrections are made in the next daily snapshot and described rather than backfilled silently.

Update cadence

The index is rebuilt daily. Each snapshot carries a generation identifier and an effective date, and each figure carries the date it was observed.

Pages show the effective date of the snapshot you are reading, so a figure quoted from this site can always be tied to a specific day.

Independence

CardZ Marketcap does not sell cards, does not run auctions and does not take payment for placement in the rankings.

We name PSA as the grading source because its population reports are public and checkable. We do not publish the identities of our pricing suppliers.

How to cite us
